Fruit Ninja

Unbeknownst to most, ninjas are the sworn enemy of fruit. They have dedicated their lives to snuffing out any and all sources of vitamin C with their lethal blades. Seriously, that's the whole story behind ,Fruit Ninja a wonderful single-minded game from Half Brick.

All you do in this little game is swipe through flying fruit to cleave it in two while avoiding bombs as they, too, arc across the screen. If it sounds shallow, that's because it is. But shallow isn't necessarily a dirty word on the iPhone, especially when you're talking about 99-cent games designed solely for the purpose of wasting a few minutes here and there.
